Every year the Fantasy Fest is one of the biggest Halloween costume party held in Key West during the month of October (Halloween), unless a hurricane does not permit it, in that case the celebrations take place at a later time.

The festivities usually last over 1 week. This year the Fantasy Fest will be held Oct. 19 - 28th, 2007.

Hotels, Guest Houses and Inn's are usually booked months in advance. The Street Fair features many costume, lingerie, leather and other clothing booths. Halloween costumes sell like hot cakes the closer it gets to the day of the big Halloween Costume Party, which is usually held the weekend before Halloween. Of course many other parties are held during the entire week. The costumes are very sexy, since the temperatures in Key West are tropical at this time of the year, and it's a paradise for big carnival parties.

There are so many different Halloween parties to go to, such as Toga parties, A green Parrot costume party is also held annually, featuring mermaids, and other creatures of the sea, you feel yourself in a fantasy world the entire week.
